Empower And Excel
2021 Nonprofit of the Year

Empower And Excel is honored to have been chosen as a 2021 California Nonprofit of the Year by State Senator Dave Cortese. This recognition is part of an initiative to acknowledge over a hundred nonprofits for their outstanding contributions to local communities by California State Senators and Assembly members.

A Legacy of Service and Inspiration

Ayesha Charagulla established Empower And Excel with the goal of shifting the focus of Silicon Valley’s youth from personal achievement to community service and giving back. Drawing from her own upbringing in India, where helping those in need was a fundamental value, Ayesha decided to leave her career and create a nonprofit organization that educates young people about the significance of community engagement. Volunteers engage in various activities such as making blankets, writing holiday cards, and distributing essential items, allowing them to directly witness the impact of their actions.

Since its inception, nearly 221,000 individuals have benefited from our programs, with over 3,000 young individuals continuing to uphold this tradition of service. Please join us in promoting compassion.
