About Us
Empower And Excel is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2015 by Ayesha Charagulla, a former IT professional who was motivated by a strong desire to shift the focus of Silicon Valley’s youth from personal achievement to community service and giving back.
Mission
Our mission is to inspire, mentor, and mobilize youth ages 5-18 to volunteer and give back to their communities. We provide hands-on experiences that allow them to care for those less fortunate and help them develop empathy and respect for all.
Impact
Since 2015, we have mentored 2,965 young people, who have contributed 136,000+ hours of service and served nearly 221,000 people in need.
Awards
In 2021, we were honored to receive the California Nonprofit of the Year Award from State Senator Dave Cortese, representing District 15. Our youth volunteers have been presented with 178 Gold, 47 Silver, and 87 Bronze President's Volunteer Service awards for exceptional contributions.
USA Projects
Empower And Excel provides our youth volunteers with projects that benefit infants, young children, seniors, the unhoused, people with food insecurities, and much more. Click here to learn more about our projects.
India Projects
Empower And Excel supports 67 disabled orphans at Asha Jyothi in India. Your annual donation of $1500 ensures they receive essential care, education, and therapies. Click here to learn more about Asha Jyothi.
Your Donation Directly Impacts Lives
We are grateful to our community for their support, and we invite you to join us in our mission by becoming a sponsor or by making a one-time or recurring tax-deductible donation. Our youth projects are funded by the communities we serve. One hundred percent of donations provide essentials for those in need and life-changing experiences for our youth volunteers.
