A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the celebration of E&E’s first anniversary!
E&E had a pretty incredible year, and it’s all thanks to our valuable volunteers. We celebrated our first anniversary and volunteer appreciation day on April 24th.
Our guest speakers, Santa Clara County elected official Mr. Dave Cortese and ex-Cupertino council member Mahesh Nihalani, honored our volunteers.
A few volunteers received the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards and a few others got outstanding volunteer awards. All volunteers received commendation from county.
Another exciting news is that E&E received a commendation from Board of Supervisors for our services towards the community.
We thank everyone who has supported us and aided us in our journey. It was very inspiring to see everyone coming together for a good cause.

Coding sessions at Dr. Roberto Cruz Library
This month, we began another ThinkSmart & CodeSmart coding session, this time at Dr. Roberto Cruz Library. We held sessions almost every week and collaborated with iGebra’s program and American Society of Engineers of Indian Origin to teach students about STEM.
Our program gives kids such as critical thinking, logic, and problem solving that are critical to success at school and throughout adulthood. It is encouraging to see how quickly they pick up material and to see them explore coding beyond the classroom; many of our students are already teaching coding classes themselves and come back to these classes to add new tools to their belt, such as Scala.

Cooking at Family Supportive Housing
On April 10th, we cooked and served dinner at Family Supportive Housing to many hungry families. We are so grateful for the opportunity to help people in need of access to affordable food in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Our donors and volunteers make a real difference in their lives and help them gather around their tables for a wholesome meal. As usual, another fun-filled and satisfying event.

Book Drive in EV Square
On April 16th, we held a book drive at EV Square while the new library inauguration was going on. Thousands attended the grand opening, and we were able to spread the word about our cause. Thanks to all the donors! These books will be excellent resources to those children in need.

Helping out at CityTeam
On April 16th, we had the chance to help out at CityTeam kitchen. We helped staff unload the groceries from the truck, clean up the pantry and serve dinner. We are fortunate that we were able to lift the souls and nurture the spirits of these homeless people by serving them healthy meals. Our volunteers enjoyed every bit of it. The experience allowed them to see and understand the in-built self-respect that every human has and to understand how much they have to be thankful for.

Teaching technology to seniors at Priya Living retirement community
On April 30th, our volunteers gathered at Priya Living to help senior citizens keep up with the technology. Our regular visits here encompass one way to establish a connection between the two generations. Both sides get to know one another and share stories, and volunteers always walk out with big smiles and blessings from seniors. Thank you for the opportunity!
