Now for a Quick Recap of Our February 2024 Activities

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.22.7″]

February was a busy and eventful month for us, as our CEO dedicated time to engage in various activities with disabled orphans.  Recognizing this critical need, we collaborated with local hospitals and the Red Cross to organize on-site medical screening and dental cleaning for the disabled children of Asha Jyothi on Feb 2nd. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the following institutions for their invaluable collaboration in making this initiative possible:

The event was immensely fulfilling.

On Feb 3rd, disabled kids at Asha Jyothi orphanage painted planter bins and broken bicycles, and wheelchairs. The activity was so much fun as it provided children with a fun and enriching outlet for self-expression and creativity while promoting sensory exploration and social interaction.

On Feb 9th, we had an awesome field trip with Asha Jyothi special needs. The park adventure was fun and it created a welcoming and inclusive environment where special needs individuals could enjoy outdoor activities, connect with nature, and experience the rides and joy of community engagement in supportive setting.

Our committed youth volunteer, Ravi Polisetti, a high school sophomore, dedicated months of hard work to raise an impressive $5,000 to support disabled orphans at Asha Jyothi in India. On Feb  22nd, on Ravi’s behalf, his father and grandmother visited the shelter, and Ayesha had the opportunity to accompany them. The experience was beautiful, allowing us to engage with our compassionate volunteers, generous donors, and the resilient children at the shelter. Thanks to Ravi’s contribution, we have exciting plans: acquiring 10 solar street lamps for the campus and a clinical chair to facilitate requests for onsite dental health screenings.

Our CEO, Ayesha, was delighted to inaugurate the new main gate at Asha Jyothi on Feb 26th. The replacement was much needed, as the old gate had become old, rusted, and broken. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Kohli family for their generous contribution, which made installing the new gate possible. This latest addition will not only enhance the aesthetics of Asha Jyothi but also contribute to the safety and security of the premises. Thank you to the Kohli family for their support and commitment to the organization’s mission.
