Hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th weekend and enjoying your summer break with family and friends. Schools will reopen soon and we want to wish all our volunteers good luck.  Have so much learning new things that will stay with you forever in your life.

Volunteer of the Month: Shuvam Sinha

Shuvam Sinha has been volunteering for four years with exceptional dedication to help the needy in the community by involving in many activities and spending quality hours. Some of the important activities Shuvam has involved were making breakfast for the unhoused, collecting hygiene kits, baking for the community, making lunch packs and baby blankets, and many more. He is making a huge impact in the community due to the time and energy he has put into helping those in need.

Supervisor Cindy Chavez’s Chief of Staff Paul Murphy’s meeting with E&E regarding STEAM project execution at the low-income community.

Every Saturday in July, our volunteers conducted STEAM activities for children from low-income communities. We had raffles and fun incentives and snacks for children who participated. 

Used oil drive conducted by Zahra and Alaqmar – EnE volunteers in Allen, Texas

Bollywood Dace workout sessions by Aishwarya Manga at VPU community.

Hand-made birthday cards for Hospitalized Kids to spread hope, joy & magic.

Volunteers at California garden nursery cleaning and weeding.

Hygiene drive for the unhoused population.

Back to School Drive for children at low-income communities.

Our Physician’s Support Group distributed PPE kits to Sequoia hospice in Milpitas. and Redwood Hospice. 

Doll Up project: More Dresses distribution for low-income community.

Handmade Baby Blankies for the community. Blankets will be distributed to low-income families and migrant families.

Volunteers made delicious breakfast for Eastbay unhoused friends. 

EnE volunteers made hot meals and sandwiches for the unhoused population in East Bay, South Bay, and Santa Cruz.

Little bakers baked 100’s of goodies for the community

Volunteers distributed lunch packages to the unhoused population. 

Young tutors had fun teaching their little tutees different subjects, chess, and art.

Volunteers conducted an academic and recreational online sessions for children on the spectrum. 

Volunteers made phone calls to the elderly to check on them.

Youth Volunteer Aishwarya Manga raised funds to purchase wheelchairs for special needs orphan children.

EnE’s Global Volunteer Initiatives: Supporting ASHA JYOTHI

  • EnE volunteers and their families have been wholeheartedly supporting AshaJyothi, a shelter for abandoned special needs kids in India through their generous donations and meal sponsorships.
  • A BIG Thank You to all the families who sponsored meals during July month: Kohli Family, Selvarajn Family, Yenduri Family, Dharmapuri Family, Trivedi Family, Vyavaharkar Family, Chodavarapu Family, Sobha Rani Pujarla, and anonymous donors. 
    • Please sign-up here if you are interested in sponsoring meals for ~70 special needs kids and their staff of 15 people. We are very happy to share that our anonymous donor is matching two meals for every meal sponsored in the year 2021. Important Monthly Reminders:

Instructions on How to Check your Event Sign-up on DonorView:  

  1. Log on to E&E volunteer DonorView
  2. Click on the “Events” button
  3. Click on the “print ticket” button

Please Remember the following

  • Please sign in to your DonorView account before you sign up for an event. (The advantage of signing in to your account first is that the attendant fields will be auto-filled for you, making your signup process a lot more efficient. Also, it will avoid the creation of multiple accounts.)
  • Make sure to check your email for sign-up confirmation and event ticket.
  • In the event that an update is required we will post it on the group chat and send Donorview update email.
  • The event sign-up page also has the latest info. Please check there first if you have any questions.
  • Please Note: Deleting a sign-up requires admin intervention so please only sign up when you are certain of your availability.
  • We announce new events  on the WhatsApp group first as events become available. If you have recently joined E&E, it’s best to sign into your Donorview account to see ongoing events. Click on the “event” icon. In the upper- right hand corner you will see a pull-down menu for ongoing events. Here is a short info document on Donorview:
