Now for a Quick Recap of Our September 2022 Activities

Volunteer of the Month: Rishit Agrawal
Rishit has been volunteering with E&E for 2 years and we are proud to see his consistent efforts to serve the community by involving in a variety of activities. He has become one of the most dependable volunteers. We can’t appreciate enough his willingness to share both his time and his talent by volunteering to make life better for those who are in need.

Please take a moment to listen to Kaveri, JEENA coordinator who talks about her association with E&E and requests/elaborates requirements for volunteers to help with special needs children.

Hope for kids – because special needs require special attention

Volunteers participated in community gardening activities. It was a great activity for kids as it taught eating healthy veggies and fruits.

Crafty bakers of E&E baked hundreds of homely decadent muffins, cookies, and brownies for Eastbay unhoused and Family Supportive Housing.

Young tutors had fun teaching their little tutees different subjects, chess, and art. Our volunteers ensure that tutoring programs are culturally responsive and tailored to meet the unique needs of student populations.

E&E volunteers prepare the first meal of the day, a balanced hot breakfast for Eastbay unhoused.

E&E volunteers in action making hearty delicious lunches and dinners (that include, pasta, veg/non-veg/pb&j sandwiches, fruit, snack bars, juice/water) for the needy in our local community.

Addressing hunger is a moral imperative! E&E volunteers hand out fresh handmade lunch packs to the homeless and destitute, in San Jose, Sunnyvale, Santa Cruz, & Family Supportive Housing, and JW House in Santa Clara.

STEM for kids develops creators, thinkers, problem solvers, doers, innovators, and inventors. Exposing kids to simple STEM activities at an early age today sets a foundation for higher learning tomorrow. Our E&E volunteers conducted STEAM activities for children from low-income communities in San Jose. It’s great to see kids having fun. We had raffles and fun incentives and lunch for participants.

Knitting caps for cancer patients continues by our young volunteers.

E&E volunteers made greeting cards for children at the hospitals featuring friendly birthday wishes.
