“Empower And Excel”  is conducting an art competition in collaboration with Microsoft to create awareness in young minds about their impact on the community and the world around them and vice versa.

Eligibility: Contest is open to children in 2 categories::

•  Juniors: up to 12 years old
•  Seniors: 13 to 18 years old

BRING YOUR OWN SUPPLIES AS PER THE REQUIREMENTS.

Requirements:

1. Unframed – size must be 11 in x 14 in ( 27.9 X 35.6 cm ).
2. Entries should be executed in full color.
3. Canvas or Illustration board may be utilized.
4. Paper media must be mounted properly on a poster board.

Any artistic or visual art medium is acceptable – Acrylic, Pastel, Sculpture, Charcoal, Pencil, Pen & ink, Collage & Mosaic, Origami, Mixed media. Paper, Fabric, Indigenous, and any Recycle material.

Competition rules of the Art:

1. Originality of artistic perception and mode of interpretation of the matter and theme.
2. Creative use of the media
3. Innovative visual expressive technique
4. Adherence to the theme.
5. Composition & color harmony.
6. Neatness in presentation.
7. Overall impact of the art.

Awards & Certificates would be presented at the upcoming Empower & Excel event “Art With A Heart”

“Art With A Heart” – World Renowned Speed Painter Vilas Nayak and acclaimed Indian classical dancer Aarthy Sundar show casing: An explosion of colors on canvas, an art miracle, heart pounding music, your imagination, and thought provoking storytelling through dance.
Proceeds benefit ‘Empower And Excel’ efforts to bring smile and color in underprivileged children’s lives.
